I am getting a clicking sound from the glove box area on my 93, that I never noticed on my 94, when the A/C is on. It sounds like a solenoid. Is this normal, do you guys hear it in your cars when the air is on?

It drives me crazy...

 

ive heard like a compressor sound in my 94 coming from the pass. air vent every 3 or 4 min....its highly annoying, but never a click.

My glove box light just comes on from time to time which is kinda annoying.

 

YES this is normal.
what you are hearing is the thermo switch on the evaporator.
it toggles on and off when the evaporator reaches it's most efficent temperature. This turns the AC compressor on and off. Mine does this and then I hear a whoosh sound (the freon passing though the expansion valve) my car is the only one I hear teh wooshing sound on so I don't think it's normal to hear but since the AC is working real well Im not messing with it.

 

mine also makes the whooshing sound and the A/C works perfectly
