Do I Need To Replace My MAP Sensor Filter

So, there are a lot of threads that say you need this to protect you MAP, but mine I can blow through both ways and it rattles when I shake it. Do I need to replace it? Mazda wants $38 for the little bastard.

I doubt that's your issue for your idle. Keep in mind it's a filter, not a check valve so you should be able to blow both directions.
