Do I need other parts with short shifter?

Sorry if this is a silly question. I just bought a B&M short shifter replica from ebay. Do I need other fresh new parts like gaskets, new bushings, shifter boot, spring etc. since I'm replacing the shifter?

http://www.mazdatrix.com/g4.htm

Mazdatrix have a list of parts, I'm just not sure if they are applicable for aftermarket shifters or oem only.

it will probably be a complete part, housing and all except the little plastic piece on the bottom of the shifter. unless you got a different one than me, link to the one you bought.

This is the one I got:

So I need to buy that plastic piece for the bottom of the shifter? Which one in mazdatrix parts list is that so I can order that now and not have to wait after the shifter arrives?

From what I've read it's 50/50, some people like it, and some don't. It is a B&M short shifter replica, many say it's too notchy. For it's price it's worth a try cause you can always go back to stock if you hate it.

Theorie seems to like his one, here are his reviews:

You can take the plastic one off your stock shifter or buy an upgraded one. I like the shifter, it is a bit notchy but feels good to me.
