Do fog lights block airflow to aftermarket intakes?
It looks like the right fog light, and especially the black piece of plastic next to it, covers the area where the aftermarket intakes get their air from. Has anyone remove their fog lights or the black piece of plastic to free up airflow? Do you think it makes any difference?
perplexed by your question....
Uh....by aftermarket do you mean one that resides inside the engine bay, like A'Pexi, HKS, etc.? 'Cuz the keyword there is INSIDE the engine bay. Foglights or lack thereof would have no effect.
The stock intake snorkel affair thingy is in clear airflow. I took out my side panel grill pieces and haven't noticed any difference in cooling, if anything cooling seems IMPROVED.
Airflow thru the nose and radiator on an FD takes a sort of convoluted path anyway, the undertray helps direct most of the outflow over the turbos and out the underside of the car, at least as far as the passenger side is concerned.
So I say, NO, they don't block airflow to an aftermarket intake.
