DIY: Stock 5/16 hardlines to 3/8 or -6
because i searched and searched and searched and these threads are all over the place... my plan here is to provide pics and an overview of how i did this.
TOOLS:
Tubing cutter
Summit 37* flaring tool- pn# 900311
what i am doing is flaring my 5/16 stock lines to the 37* an flair and using tube nuts and sleeves in the -6 / 3/8s size. now i have cut a small piece of 3/8 tube and drilled it to slip over my stock hard line. so while the fitting mates with my 5/16 37* flair the 3/8 slipover tube acts to center the nut and sleeve.
