Well the only thing separating the spirit r wheel and **** are the red stitching that was added. I happen to think it's a nice touch for the interior and would match my shift boot. Despite my best efforts, I still have no access to or hookup for Japanese FD parts, so I decided that I would try my luck at replacing the black thread with red on a beat up stock **** I had lying around. Now, I'm no seamstress
but the stitch pattern is fairly straight forward (baseball stitch). I watched a couple videos on doing this particular stitch, grabbed some thick thread (I used cotton, nylon is preferable) and just copied the pattern on the stock ****. Obviously one could use whatever color matched their interior. It took an afternoon with some radio on in the background... rather relaxing I might add. Maybe next I'll take up knitting
(or trying the steering wheel stitch)

maybe ill get some new leather and recover it... but for now at least I know its easy to do. Also as I said earlier, nylon thread will not fray and will look much better.

A ton of money? I dunno about that. You can have the stock **** recovered with new leather and whatever color stitch you want for like $60 hell I wouldn't mind paying $75.
Heath is a DIY kinda guy though, so I get it.
But I want him to try it on new fabric and see how easy it is lol

You can even contact me if you want parts like that, I just sent a lot of interior from a Spirt R to someone in the US.
For my own car it was even simpler, I bought a Civic Type R shift boot, cut it and voila!:

I don't like the red. Maybe if you had red leather seats it would be ok. Without a red interior, I just think it looks bad. Just because it is red on the Spirit R model doesn't mean it is better. Keep it Black!!!

Post up some pics of the stiching... but that was kinda the point of this thread... yes you can (most likely
) Nylon thread really will look much better, as it wont fray like the cotton did.
On a new **** this would look much better. I'm eying my steering wheel now and may try that as well

I'm using the redlinegoods.com shift boot and ebrake boot, on my FD and miata. I'm not a paid sponsor, but they do fit pretty damn well and look/smell nice.

Shh... I'm not allowed to say
No scrub is right, its the Euro headlight leveler switch. There are motors which replace the lower headlight aiming screw (the motors just connect directly to it to turn the screw) which changes the height. Roll the switch and you generate different impedance levels which signal the motors to move to X-position/rotation. So basically roll the switch and the headlights move up or down to 4 select heights 0-3. Kinda help you see down the road better if you want, or lower them to blind other drivers less... I'm using them with my HID projector setup to get a little more output on the back roads without having to flip to the high beams every time there is an oncoming car. With a razor sharp cutoff its nice (i think) to be able to manipulate the cutoff height from the cabin) but I'm lazy and also bought a tein EDFC instead of getting out of the car so... I'll let you be the judge of its usefulness
A few countries must have required this for the FD for whatever reason, along with rear fog lights. Spain, Italy, France, and a few select others that imported FD's directly added these little things to conform to their countries legal codes.
Nice eye BTW

I think I'm going to try this myself soon. My RX-8 **** needs some loving and the Spirit R E-brake lever costs $250 just for red stitching. Yeah, I think not . . . If I brave this I too will post pics.
