Take off the negative, remove the rubber caps on the steering wheel.. un bolt so that the airbag is detached..

Unplug the airbag..

now just remove the steering wheel.. all the lines.. and put your efini.. but you know.. your engine or airbag light will come on..

hope this helps

Can you use the 1/2ohm resisters like done when blocking off actuators?
I was interested in an upgraded wheel also, but didnt want the light on.

And what about re-running the horn wire? And should I just cut off the airbag wire? Any suggestions? On the stock wheel the horn and airbag wires come through the bottom of the wheel, and on the efini wheel the horn line runs through the top of it. Just tryin to figure out how to run it so I still get full rotation of the wheel. Also tryin to be able to maintain the use of my cruise control. Thanks again.

CAREFUL!

Disconnect the battery and leave it for an hour.. if the airbag control unit goes off and your woring on it; it often breaks your neck.. So carful1

After you disconnect the battery, step on the brake pedal for a second. The brake lights will use up any left-over charge in the system.

The airbag diagnostic module will freak out about an open circuit if you cut the wires. Use a resistor. Not having removed an airbag myself, I couldn't tell you what resistance, but I'm sure someone will eventually respond.

Come on guys, I know some of you have replaced the stock wheel with aftermarket ones. How did you wire the horn?
