disc brakes wheel squeak
Well I noticed some kind of squeaking coming from my front wheels so I jack the car up to see how freely they spin. I gave them a good spin and sure enough there was a squeaking and the wheel slowed to a halt after 2-3 rotations. I also noticed that one of the 3 dime sized screws was missing, the ones that are behind the wheel next to the threaded lug bolts. I only looked behind the driver side front wheel. Any comments?

Pad drag is always enough to slow a spinning rotor in a few turns. This is normal.
The squeaking could be caused by the squealer on the pad - remove them and make sure they have plenty of lining left.
The missing screw might be those phillips-head screws that hold the rotor to the hub? If these are the ones you're talkinga bout, you could be missing all 3 and it wouldn't matter. The lugs and wheel are what hold the rotor to the hub.
I did have a case once on my Maxima where a stone got caught between the rotor and wheel hub, and dragged 100% of the time. If I hadn't tapped off the rotor I would never have noticed it. If you are stumped as to the cause, and it happens during both braking and rolling, give this a look.
