Disabling EGR
Hey i just went to the Rob Robinette site and read something abotu the EGR disable. Whats the benefit of doing this and is there any side effects to this?

It's pretty easy on the 93, just take out the vac line then plug them. When it's time for the emmisions test you can put it back on, I think, but I havent disabled mine.

The only benefit I know is what was previously mentioned by rotary93; if it gets caught in the open position...it's a costly repair. The recirculation of inert exhaust gasses was found to reduce certain types of bad-for-environment emmisions. This is what I recollect from my readings...if you want to know more look at the many informative websites that we have on the web -- I'm sure it'll be explained better.
In the 94's there will be some check engine light that comes up if u disable it...maybe this is what the PFC fixes...not sure.
