Dip stick mix up????

Dumb question, but i just want to make sure.

I have too many rotary parts laying around and wondering if which is the 3rd gen dip stick.
these are the 2 different kinds i have:

1) pretty flexable, with a 45 degree bend at the tip ( i think this is 3rd gen)
2) pretty stiff, and straight all the way down, no bend at tip (2nd gen)

Is this correct? or is 3rd gen same as 2nd? i dont think so because it so hard to bend under elbow.

Thanks
