Arrow Digital vs. Manual Boost Controller

Do they both use the same variables to controll boost (solenoid valve)? Are the Digital ones worth the $$$. I know the manual is somewhat difficult to tune/adjust but how else is the digital better. Also, does anyone use the pettit electronic boost controller, it's the cheapest digital at $375.

Thanks

Digital is much much beter.
It's difficult to find race cars in Japan that use manual ones.

The digital one is better for sure. If tis worth it, thats up to you.

With the digital one you can just set it to the pressure you want, and your done. And you normally get cool features with an eltronic one to. Like boost warning light, etc.

With the manual you normally have to mess with it for a little while, set it to something, do a run to see what your boost is at, then mess with it again, do another run. Repeat until its set at what you want. Also, when the weather start to change, such as when it gets cooler, you'll have to readjust it or you'll get a differnt amount of boost.

But of caorse theres price. A digiatal boost controller will cost ~350+ where as a manual will cost ~30.

I run a manual. I'm content with it for now beasue it gets the job done. AL thought Iwould perfer an electronic bost controller.

The old school is mechanical and there were problems with the electrical when they fisrt came out on some units (sylinoids I beleive). The $30 is only the home depot deal. Greddy and Turbo XS will run about $150.00

But I would take Inukai's word over mine or anyone elses. He is RacerX

ApexI Super AVCR is an extremely nice controller and if you are going to spend more than $250 on one you may as well upgrade to that...

I just put in the pettit Ecu which lead me to install my Home depot valve. It was very very easy to install and with a little tuning, works like a charm. You just have to be careful with different weather and all..
I feel the moe gadgets you have, the more things can go wrong...If you want a mechanical. Go for a HKS EZ or Prfec B. Gets the job done real good.
FYI- one of my best friends blew his 2nd Turbo on a Supra TT, and another friend blew his motor on his FD...both b/c they were using the Blitz SBC-ID.
