When I was installing my solid diff bushings, I took the assembly to a local machine shop and they pressed the old ones out and pressed the new ones in for only $5.00.

That's an absolute bargain! Most shops want $5-$10 (or more!) for each press out and each press in!

Damn, this isn't good news. I have the Mazda Motorsports bushings that I am going to press in, but all I have is a c-clamp style bushing tool.

Does the stock one have a metal ring that lines the outside?

Yep; the diff bushings are encased in steel. The diff mount appears to be cast iron so with any corrosion they end up really stuck. Suspension pieces are aluminum so they don't stick as bad.

Worst case you can cut them out with a hacksaw as nkeehn did. Pressing the new ones in isn't bad.
