Testing was recorded during crusing and acceleration and yield a couple degrees higher than ambient during cruising. (Can't get any better than ambient with an air-air intercooler) Chuck thinks he's going to see 50-100 degrees less with the VMIC than the SMIC. IMO, I doubt that's going to happen.

Additionally unless your car is tuned right at the limit it’s not going to make that much of a difference.
I think you need to jump over to the other thread, and read what I posted as to why I think a VMIC isn't any better than a SMIC in some aspects.

Alex,
I'm reserving judgement until the tests are completed, but I'm anticipating Chuck (using Rynberg as a third party) will verify the #s on the SMIC, then on the VMount, and the Vmout will have lower temps. But that's just my guess

I want to apologize to HedgeHog for the attitudes of some of my statements. Even though I was trying to help, I said it in a very unpleasant tone like a dad yelling at his kid when the kid did something wrong
It was not the best way to make a suggestion and sometimes I don't think too much before I type. I am really sorry about it.
I applaud his effort to make a different kind of vmount. I got my emotion carried away. I only wish him the best for the setup and hopefully my previous emotional behavior will not affect his decision of sharing his expereince with the forum members.

V mount looks better, I will say that....std M2 style duct (which I have) looks like ***....the Crooked Willow set-up was nice, esp with the ducted hood
