Different glass tint colout going through years

While assembling my project and picking best condition parts for it from my "museum" (3 FD3S), I found some nice details about our FD3S which I wanted to share with.

Looking from left:
94, 97 & up JDM model blue tint door glass;
94 USDM green tint door glass;
92 UK / JDM brown tint door glass.

Personally brown tint looks best it looks as if it would give some luxury to it but maybe that's because it's hard to find new car having this color tint nowadays.

Very interesting! The tint is so subtle that you really don't even see it normally.

I think I posted similar info 5 or so years ago when some low life broke my pax window breaking into my car.

93-95 USDM had 2 tints. I think the R1 used a grayish tint while the touring models used a bronze tint. I don't recall a green tint though. Maybe it varied by exterior color as well.

Back in the day someone broke the rear glass on my 95.
The glass company had a hard time matching the grey tint, all they had was the bronze.
