different boost settings with the PFC...

when you get a PFC tuned, does it have different maps for different boost levels?? for example, if its tuned for 12 PSI, and you wanna up it to 14 for the occasional Supra/Corvette whooping, will it run the same fuel/timing map as 12 PSI. does that mean that you will run leaner at 14 PSI than 12 PSI, or is there a separate fuel/timing map for each individual level of boost??

thanks.

Tune it for the higher of the 2...it will adjust itself if you end up running lower boost.

It's not necessary to buy a boost controller for the Power FC. However, it is much easier to use a boost controller than using the Commander. The boost controller can be easily used with the Power FC. I'm using the Blitz SBC i-D boost controller with my Power FC and I think it's so much better now.

Anyone using the APEXi AVC-R? My friend is using one on his Supra and really likes it. Any experiences with them on a RX-7.

Re: different boost settings with the PFC...

On the fuel and ignition maps, it's pressure vs rpm. So if you tune for the whole map, it will cover up to 1.4 kg/cm3. You can make it run richer at higher boost using the same map as long as you put higher values into the cells corresponding to the higher boost level. Hope it helps.
