Differences in Spring Rates: R1, R2, Touring/PEP and Base Models.

I am wondering if there are any differences in the actual spring rates of the springs, or if the shocks are the only differences. I'd like to know the rates for each model, if in fact, they are different. Thanks in advance.

On 93's the R1 and touring had the same springs. Maybe true for 94 and 95, but I don't know for sure.

No, the spring rates are the only difference between the models.. the shocks were the same.

you have it the other way around.

all rx7's from 93-95 had the same springs.
only the r1's and r2's has SHOWA struts which stiffened up the ride. in 94 and 95 the r2's has slighlty softer struts then the r1's.

The springs on the 93's are the same for all models (but different front to back). 94/95 is different:

'93 Front: FD03-34-011 All Models
'94/95 Front: FD01-34-011 Std Susp (touring/base)
'94/95 Front: FD17-34-011 Hvy Susp (R1/F2)

'93 Rear: FD03-28-011 All Models
94/95 Rear: FD15-28-011B All Models
