did my boost controller die?

one day i was at the track and my car stopped hitting 15 psi , so i raised the boost controller and no matter what the boost wouldn't pass .95 so i assumed it was a boost leak after searching everywhere and finding nothing i decided to switch wastegate springs the one in the car was .8 bar and i switched it to 1 bar spring and also disconnected the boost controller. ran manifold pressure to side port of wastegate and left top port open. now its hitting 1.30 so i happy it finally passing .95
but its overboosting so not happy about that. my question is did my solenoid die? i have the greddy profec b boost controller and tial 44mm wastegate + 3 bar map sensor. also with the boost controller disconnected does the power fc take over for boost control? thanks in advance
