Okay this mornning I went out to hoem depot and bought osme valves to make soem manual boost controllers. Well I installed them and to my surprise my 7 psi problem was long gone now...only thing is...I had just seen my new defi D boost gauge hit 20+ psi....shoudlnt there have been a fuel cut a like 14? Yes I am running a stock ecu and yes I did turn the boost waaaaaaaaaaayyyy down after that one hahaha.

What are your mods? I wouldn't think there is any way to spike up to 20+ ?

When I put on some Home Depot boost controllers + downpipe + midpipe and did a test drive, I hit 18 PSI easily. It is definitely possible.

I have stock twins and injectors. I got fuel cut @ about 16 psi. I would say that it isn't possible.

Thats what i was freaking thinking because i had read other posts and most say when they spiked they got fuel cut...but is it possible that if you adjust boost manually you dont get a fuel cut?

No it doesn't matter you should get fuel cut. You probably let off before it could happen. Or at least I'd hope so what are you on crack? I'm on a beefed up single turbo setup with enough fuel for 650rwhp and I run 12psi daily and never more than 15 on pump gas. My car is also professionally tuned and setup. You just sound silly saying you hit 20psi on the stock ecu and what makes it worse is that you don't seem worried about it. The only reason I see to get a those valves is if your boost is too high and you are trying to lower it on a budget. Those valves suck get a real boost controller or if its 10 or below quit ******* with it with valves.

Thats what I am wondering and I am indeed very worried why do you think I posted such a question? Of course I let go the mintue I saw it go that high. I'm ****** with valves becasue I dont have any god dmaned pills. And I plan to get some Manual boost RX boost controllers soon as I have the money but right now i just want get it back to a 10-8-10 pattern from the shitty 7psi. Do you really think that after a 1.5 years of tryin to put together a workin RX-7 I am gunna go and retardedly try and raise its boost higher than stock? I think not man. I think not. It was just an accident seeing as how it set it to what i thought the pills would be letting by in pressure but it seemed to low so it raised my boost a tad bit high lolz. I stopped right away and pulled over to re-adjust so relax surge monster.

I spiked up to 20psi once when I was running a piece of **** HKS (I will never buy another HKS product) boost controller. After that run I stopped by the engine builder for a new engine. Just becareful with the big boost spikes. Just go out and buy yourself a nice boost controller like the Blitz SBC-ID and then you don't have to worry about it.
