Diamond cut HID headlights

Rx7 store has these for sale.

http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/diamond%20lights.htm

Does anyone know anything about these as far as quality, beam pattern, cutoff, glare or anything else? . I'm wondering since they don't have a projector lens. Tried searching for information on them, but it seems nobody has really tried or bothered with these. Thanks.

Looks like they bought the Ebay crystal headlights (~$80 shipped) and added a cheap HID kit (~$100) and then charged double that.

lol @ 15 minutes for installation.

It takes that long to take the headlight shrouds and the headlight covers off lol

the problems ive seen with the ebay ones that i heard of is there not for the hid lights because it will melt inside (not made for HID lights) so if thats true that these are ebay ones then its not worth buying!

Also one thing that I didn't notice before is that the passenger light looks like its aimed towards the wrong side of the road.

I bought these lights from Jason. They seemed all right. There was a gasket missing and a ballast wasnt working. Right now, Im trying to get the new replacement parts in. I feel bad for Jason, I've been bugging him alot about it. I know its the vendors fault but this really sucks.

Anyway about the lights,

-they are supposed to be LHD
-when I ordered only 7k was availible
-the wiring seemed to be ok but the gaskets were insufficient (needed some tape to further cover the wiring)

I'll update this thread once I get more info from Jason. I'll ask him about the housing and stuff (if they were made for HIDs)

There was a thread made about another pair of lights and these were mentioned in that thread. I believe it was from a GB. The thread had some pics of the light pattern and the actual lights in use. I would find it but I have to go to bed.

I don't think rx7store did this. I've seen these lights from other less reputable vendors for a little bit cheaper. I don't think rx7store would sell there stock only to get undercut. Thats the reason I bought from rx7store because at least I know if something goes wrong I have someone on my side to get things right.

These are the same lights that Ramy sold in his group buy and the ones that are sold on ebay. I think Ramy called them Wisesport and I think he charged around $600 for the combo with HID's. I have these and the HID's(which came from Ramy's GB) on a MB FD that I purcahsed recently. I also have the same headlights on my VR FD, which I purchased from ebay for significantly less. I did a large comparison write up on another forum(not allowed to link it here).

BTW, it take 5 minutes to pull the headlight covers(loosen 4 screws) and remove the 4 screws on the headlight bezels. HID's are generally plug and play. The ballasts on mine are mounted under the headlight covers.

I think the price for these lights is pretty damn good. I have to admit that I don't know much about what constitutes high quality but for a set of casings with HIDs, I'd say thats pretty damn good. Easy install is a plus to.

Im guessing that since you have installed these, your housings didnt melt right? Do you have any problems with the lights?

Whoever quoted that above about the housing melting is incorrect. There is an issue with the housings when running HID's, but it's not them melting... look at the housings... the insides... and see where the light goes...
