Diagnostic..... Ignition or injection? And nobody better say blown motor....

So, my car has had an intermittent rouhg idle problem, its never stalled or anything, just rough sometimes. During WOT, when my secondarie comes on, it somewhat falls on its face, just kind of a break up, doesnt pull strong and smooth like the primarie. And, it smokes more than normal, a black smoke that smells like fuel. Im thinking either I got a spark problem, or a very leaky injector. Or two. Any ideas?

Your plugs might be fouled. I would change those first and then after that figure out why you are running that rich/lean. Do you have access to a wide band o2? My guess is that one of your secondaires is stuck open pouring fuel all of the time (it happened to me causing a rough idle) and even when the secondaires are supposed to come on line one of them is 100% open while the other one is just starting to ramp up in duty causing a break up and not so smooth acceleration. Just my $0.02.

I recently had to replace my main coil. I started having problems with break up at injector stage and goofy hesitations at partial throttle. I had clean plugs. I went to autocross and stayed in 1st for the first 2/3 of the circuit and then my engine just dumped and would barely idle. I am assuming it was running on the trailing only. Checked the coil and it was dead. So check that next. Even if its close to being out of spec for resistance I would replace it.
