Desert Racing: preventitive maintenance
Hi
Im going to be taking my 94 FD out to a couple track days at Buttonwillow and Willowsprings in SoCal at the end of May- a nice 4 day weekend at the track.
The car has been rarely used (driven once every other week) while I was in New York. 68,000 miles. Bone stock... but only for the moment.
My plan is this: fly back in, install HKS downpipe and Koyo radiator. Drive it for half a day to check reliability, add Apexi GT catback maybe liniarize water temp gauge, and go.
I really dont want anything to go wrong mechanically- its been a while since Ive driven anything at all; longer since ive been to the track. Should I do anything else or do it differently? I do have a pretty short window (2 days). Anything to watch for after the mods?
thanks

I'll be going down to Buttonwillow on May 28 as well. You'll be fine, just have to watch your temps, depending on how hot the day is. Feel free to PM me with any questions.
