quick question. Will these bushing need the grease fitting to reduce the suspension noise?

Delrin is NOT like Polyurethane or Nylon in that respect. Delrin surface isn't pores and has a much lower friction rating. Please read what this manufacturer said about the use of Delrin in their bushings and my comments below.

http://users.adelphia.net/~94turbost...shing_Tech.pdf

"Maintenance free
Our Poly/Delrin bushings totally eliminate the need for regular greasing, so no more hassle of squeezing a jack under your car or dealing with messy grease guns."

and

"Delrin Bearing:
Delrin is an Acetyl Nylon material with low friction properties. The Delrin Bearing is designed to rotate around the crush sleeve providing smooth, squeak free operation."

As I posted in the Group Buy...

I’m not 100% sold on the idea. I never considered not lubing my set of bushings. Like I recommended to the others, do some research on the web and make your own decision. I am not giving a pitch on these things to be self lubricating, I am offering Delrin bushings to those who want them. Just because one company is claiming to not need lubrication for their bushings because the contact area of the bushing to the pin is made of Delrin doesn’t necessarily make it true.

Good luck with what ever you decide,
Steve

For those who may be interested in how the first run of Delrin bushings turned out here is an update from yesterday. I expect feedback shortly. The first deliveries of the bushings are scheduled for today through to the 4th. The next group buy closes on April 28th.

Once I had them I realized how much running around I needed to do before actually being able to ship them. First was Home Depo to get the colored zip ties and tape. Next Staples for the packing peanuts (didn’t get enough). Lastly was the grocery store for zip lock bags (ended up getting the wrong ones). So after all that and eating dinner too, it was after 9:00 PM by the time I even got started.

About 2:00 AM in the morning they looked like this.

Between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM like this.

Yes, I now have extra differential bushings ready to ship if you need some.

This next pic is what you’ll get in the next few days.

The sun is starting to come up at this point.

The different colored zip ties are to help you recognize what bushing goes where. The bushings on the left side are for the front suspension and the bushings on the right are for the rear suspension. The zip tie color code is as follows:

White = Front lower A-arm front bushing.

Black = Front lower A-arm rear bushing.

Yellow = Front upper A-arm bushings.

Pink = Differential bushings.

Green = Rear upper A-arm to body bushings.

Blue = Rear A-arm to shock absorber bushings.

Orange = Rear trailing arm bushings.

I called sick in to work because I stayed up past my bed time. Now that I have the day off I went ahead and dropped the bushings off at the Southern California UPS central hub in Ontario. This should help the bushings get to you guys at least a full day earlier.

To my Canadian and United Kingdom friends, I’m sorry but no tracking number is possible through USPS to international destinations. On the plus side I sent the bushings to you guys by Air Freight so you should expect them in 4 to 10 business days just like everyone else.
