Defi gauges...just arrived!
just received my 3 defi gauges and control unit II - got water temp, and oil pressure and temp.
Just want to know, what is the best way to get the wires out of the cabin of the car and into the engine bay for the sensors? is there a hole they will fit through without cutting the wires themselves?
Also, where is the best place to mounts the water temp sensor? drill and tap the coolant filler neck?
Anyone who has done this, help would be appreciated...Thanks!

well you dont have a whole lot of options when it comes to this.
what I did was drill a 1/4" hole in the firewall right under the map sensor cur and spliced all my wires thru the whole and added a gromet so it wouldent leak.
*EDIT* forgot about your other question
the topic of the best location for a temp sensor has been talked about a bunch and their are a lot of different view on what is best.
I installed mine into the back of the waterpump it's self next to the stock temp sender. but this requires removal of the waterpump and not just the fillerneck.

There a several different ways to get the wires into the engine bay. You can use the hole on the passenger side that the engine wiring harness runs through, or you can use the one on the driver's side that the steering column shaft goes through. I think the latter is a little easier.

If you remove the driver side wheelwell liner, you will see two holes - one large triangular hole with a grommet coming from the engine bay, and another circular hole with a rubber plug leading to the cabin. You can cut out the center of this plug (effectively turning it into a grommet) and run wires from the engine bay to the cabin.
