EGI fuse keeps blowing, car wont start

I was driving home today, and the car just died.. i pulled it into the parking lot. turb the key, the fuel pump doesnt prime, and the EGI fuse is blown. i put a new fuse in and it just blows.. i dont know where to go from here, any ideas?

You are going to have a short in a 12v wire somewhere. A bare wire touching metal, another wire, etc. Check the 2 wires coming out the + side of the alternator. Those 2 wires are known for getting brittle from heat and cracking and rubbing one another. Your egi is also linked to the starter. Until you find the short you will keep blowing the fuse..G

well we fucked around with it, it doesnt blow the fuse anymore , but the car wont start. it cranks. but no spark.. where do i go from here... what kinds of other things does the EGI fuse controll, may it be the egi relay??

did you check the 120 amp main fuse in the small fuse block on the positive batter terminal?

you need to check all the fuses man. there is a 10 amp room fuse that send power to the ecu also. is the main relay clicking when you cycle the key?

i am having the exact same problem ( died out of know where and now no power to ecu yet everything else has power) but i noticed that the blinkers wont work when the ignition is in the on position...turbo timer works to

well i got sick of ******* around with the car, i really dont have time for it anymore, so i had it towed to scott at mazsport (www.mazsport.net) hes the only reputable rotary specialist on this side of the state. hopefully he wont charge me too much...
