dawes boost control

I am currently controling boost by a modified pill in the turbo control line. I have decided to switch to the dawes device, however, my dawes controller is made for a small vac hose (4mm?) and I have read reports by many that I need to use a 6mm hose. should I use a hose adapter on the barb or will it be safe to just tie wrap the larger hose on tight. My current mods are intake ,downpipe, catback, underdrive pullies, and pettit computer upgrade.

Yo Mike, I am running a Dawes and it works perfectly with the 4mm hose that comes with it. I am also running the same setup as you.
