Dave Newbern's 1680cc injector sleeves
Tonight Zoomzoom and I installed a pair of Dave Newbern’s Bosch injector sleeves .
As many of you know the diameter of the secondary injector openings in the LIM is larger than the outer diameter of the o-rings on the Bosch 1680cc injectors.
Dave’s sleeve provides more support for the o-rings by filling the gap.
Dave included a set of detailed instructions with the injector sleeves AND a throttle body O-ring, which he is/was apparently sending out with the bushings because he has a bunch of extras. What a cool guy! I highly recommend Dave’s product to everyone using 1680cc injectors.
Great idea, thanks again Dave.

With the injector sleeve, can you leave the diffuser? I know a bunch of people who had to remove it using other rails.

I reluctantly removed my diffusers a long time ago so I'm not sure. However, from what I remember the nozzles on the Bosch injectors are too big to fit in the diffusers. Assuming that this problem was overcome I believe the sleeves would still fit with the diffusers in place.

Seems like a simple and elegant solution to the problem. And hey they're actually reasonably priced too. $25 isn't bad at all. What are they made of? Aluminum?
