Dash water temp gauge not working... ideas?

Ok... so today I can finally say my Rx7 is up and running properly!!

My only problem is that my stock water temp gauge isn't working. It just doesn't budge!

I'm thinking that I possibly didn't plug something in right when putting the engine back together.

The Apexi PFC hand controller shows the water temp etc, but nothing on the stock one.

any ideas chaps?

thanks

Does your oil pressure work? If not, you might have mixed up the plugs since they are in the same area.

The temp sender for the gauge in the dash is right below the oil filter. Like said above, make sure its not mixed up. Its a small sensor with a single spade connector. Screws right into the rear iron.

It's defo plugged in as I connected it up when building the engine. Possibly faulty wire.

Given the relative worthlessness of the stock temp gauge, my first reaction is "so what?". But it would bug me too.
Is it possible that the sender just lost ground to corrosion? Maybe loosen and re-tighten?
