So..... I was driving to work on the highway this morning and saw a cat start sprinting from the middle of the highway.

How the hell the dumbass got to the middle of the highway, I have no idea but on with the story.

Slammed on the brakes and felt the cat under the front driver side wheel and a puff of white fur.

It was a weird feeling through the steering wheel. Ran over the ******* cat and squished it pretty flat. Felt nothing on the rear. I guess it had already used up it's 9 lives. Darwin FTW.

Wound up screwing up the driver side lip of the 99 spec lip and the driver side brake duct. I think I screwed up the undertray and oil cooler duct too. I felt bad for the cat but it died quickly. My wallet hurts now.

Not sure why cat lovers think cats are so smart. This was wasn't.... Sorry cat peeps.

Had to secure everything with zip ties. Now my car is looking a bit ghetto.

Man, that sucks. Make sure to give a good wash out in that area, you may have bits of cat in there that will rot, stink, and do bad things to surfaces.

I had a small dead bird caught in my radiator ages ago, I think I'm STILL finding bits of it. Never saw it happen, just discovered the remains which were well cooked.

i caught a blackbird in my brake duct once, as it was trying to do a low flyby while i was doing about 120 on my way to work. figured i missed it... when i got to work i checked and found a blackbird with it's head poking out of my brake duct. it looked quite at home in there, unfortunately when i poked it with a stick i noticed his *** and head had met for the first time.

animals can be quite stupid at times, so can humans.

That's nasty. I once hit an Owl in the old FC (I have no idea why but the owl was standing in the middle of the highway at around midnight). It blew up in an explosion of feathers, never saw the body of it, no blood on the front of the car, just a couple of feathers in the grill, no real damage. I have no idea what happened that night.

I've been one-up'ed.

I'll take some pics sometime this week. I was racing all weekend. Check the Race section for a good thread sometime this week. Rotary FTW!
