Dancing Temp gauge, Help!!!!!!!

I resently dropped in a new Mazda rebuit engine. Since then every time im stuck in traffic my temp guage starts to rise. I turn on the AC and the temp guage goes back down. Also as long as I have my parking lights turned on it doesnt get hot. I think it might be one of my fans. The only problem is i dont know how to test the fans and see which one is fried or if its even that. Please help dont want to overheat another 13b-rew!

It IS one of your fans from your symptoms, go download the shop manual or buy one and test your fans before you ruin another motor.

It's probably a fan relay. Replace it and see if the problem goes away.
