Nice video... I can't decide if I want to run Nasa or Midwest Sports Car Club http://autocross.mcscc.org/ this coming season.
The Midwest events are closer to me and there are more of them.
Wonder if I will be the first one with a LS1 3rd gen... can't wait to see how they class me....

I'm sure the MSCC events are cool, but I don't think they're the same type of deal as NASA. NASA days include HPDE driving, so that newer guys can get instruction and track time, Time trials groups for competition to see who can get the fastest laps, and then wheel to wheel Race Groups for the hard core guys.
I ran HPDE days 2 years ago, TT last year, and probably will run TT or possibly a race group this year. The cool thing is when you're not driving you can watch the race people go at it. Most are cool people and won't hesitate to let you check out their race cars or talk about driving. There's usually a party of some sort Saturday night too where people can hang out.
The events are almost always 2-3 days as well, so you can get alot of time in if you want.
I think Damian and I are going to attempt to run the whole NASA season again this year.

It's really weird how many phases to the learning curve there is but honestly I've never done something in my life that makes me as happy as driving a car at speed and I continue to realize how bad I am and how good the pros are. Like most things in life the more you know the more you realize that you don't know lol.
