Angry Damaged speed sensor.

My speed gauge and the milleage indicator stoped to show the info and the check engine light begun to flash.

1°- I did the check code procedure using the GND and TEN terminals from the DIAGNOSIS box.

2°- The result was the code 06 (ssssss). The speedometer sensor.

3°- I checked the workshop manual and followed the flowchart for the ERROR 06.

4°- The manual says that the resistance should be aprox. 290 ohms and i read 20 Mega ohms, so i´m pretty sure that the speed sensor is damaged. !"!"!"#$"#%&&% WHY? my car has only 32000 healthy miles.

I think that this is a not so common failure in our cars.

The sensor cost is $136 (www.parts.com)

I´m MAD NOW! WHY WHY WHY?
