CYM project is SO close to being finished
5 pages of pics for those that haven't seen the car, the last pages show the most recent pics.

I drove it around the block the other night after spending ~30 min trying to get it started. I thought it was flooded but turned out to be out of gas
. The IC and airbox weren't installed, it was just a little test run to figure out if all the electronics were working along with checking for leaks, etc.
Last night I tried to install the airbox, it crushed the upper radiator hose to about 1/3 of it's original diameter. Tonight I pulled the radiator back out and did a little investigation on the fit of the new Fluidyne vs. stock radiator.
Older Fluidyne radiator's top tank outlet (or is it inlet?) was too close to the radiator fans and would require trimming the fans to get the hose to fit. Well they fixed that problem but created another problem. There is at LEAST .5" clearance between the fans and the radiator hose, this positions the hose to close to the M2 carbon fiber airbox. The airbox crushes the hose
.
Tomorrow morning I'm taking the radiator to a local fabricator to have him shorten the upper radiator hose fitting and hopefully I'll get her all bolted up this weekend.
This is very frustrating, I was hoping to have it together and driving this week. The weather has been very nice for the last few days (~60-65F) and it would have been nice to drive the car.

The weather has been like that for a couple days up here too. With no wind, I almost felt like wearing a t-shirt. Good luck!
When I get mine fixed, maybe we can meet somewhere and drive around with our "new" cars!

Ya know it was -54F (without windchill) in northern Minnesota a few days ago, I thought about driving my car around the block too. : P Nice work on the restoration, can't be a profit center with all the time you've ended up putting into it though.

looking good!
It was nice to get an idea what size the rear seat is, with some one in it.
maybe you could take a pic of a full size adult in the back. If they would fit. LOL

Man, that is frustrating about the radiator - I hate those kinds of dumb bobo fitment problems that require WAY more work than should be necessary for something simple!
Keep up the good work, Jeff! Can't wait to see the "all done" pics!

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'll try to answer a few questions.
I'm keeping it, no way it would be a profit center. Kevin at -54F you wouldn't even need an IC would you
?
The car is relatively stock with bolt-ons. Springs, shocks, front sway bar, intake, IC, DP, CB, ACT clutch + flywheel, 4.33 rear gears. Nothing crazy, I want sort of a faster street rod/auto-x car but something I can still live with.
The wheels are Fikse FM-5s, 17x8.5 F and 17x10 R.

!!!! It looks great, amazing attention to detail. Are you keeping it or selling it?
