A friend of mine with an Audi RS4 had a custom made steeribg wheel made from Nexon Motors - the stuff they did is superb. I have a 99 Nardi wheel and enquired about what they could do and effectively the list is endless - carbon top, flatbottom, increase diameter, width, alcantara, centre piece in carbon etc. Please go to ebay and go to the NexonMotors store - you will see there what they can do

not cheap however !!!

I was thus wondering whether other people would be interested in this so that we lower cost - the quality if phenomenal BTW.

Let me start from your comment that you have the same steering wheel as listed but in excellent condition….[Comment R: I had sent him a pick of the Nardi from EBAY]

The point with our manufacturing process is that the condition of the steering wheel is not that important for us as we strip the leather off and then start our designing process, then carbon process and then wrap new leather and etc. So for the process, this listed wheel or your existing wheel has the same value therefore i recommend that we source this listed wheel and use it as core wheel to build the custom carbon wheel. I say this as in this condition wheel costs that money then i assume an excellent example will cost a lot more…It would be not wise to use an excellent condition wheel for this process…My 2 cents…

Back to ideas….

This is relatively a nice design wheel as it will let us work on it as we want it…9 and 3 and 6 o’clock sections will let us do anything we want on the wheel…

We can make the wheel;

* thicker by 3-4mm vs the stock thickness; maybe a little more when we hand the wheel physically
* flat bottom
* flat top
* modified sides and 10-2 o’clock safe grips
* finger indentations on top back of the wheel
* can even make the wheel smaller in diameter; exact numbers can only be given when we see the wheel but i can say 1” (2.54cm) can easily be done

We can use

* any color 12 o’clock ring in any thickness (from 3mm to 10mm where 5 or 8mm are mostly asked)
* any color stitching
* nappa leather or perforated leather or alcantara
We can also wrap the back (hub) of the steering wheel with nappa leather or perforated leather or alcantara

I can better say/comment but i highly believe we can also wrap the airbag with nappa leather or perforated leather or alcantara

I attached some pictures of designs we offer on wheels and you can pick one from those, can even pick side design from 1 wheel, flat bottom design from another and top from the 3rd if you wish…

You probably would like to know an approximate cost of a custom wheel and i can say we r looking between $1750 to $3000 depending on the specs asked….
