I am actually more surprised no one has realized the need for upgraded solenoids. There are aftermarket everything for our cars but this. I was going to put together a kit for myself over the winter but since you making a kit it is one less thing I have to make for my car. Thank You.

John

Thanks for fixing the list John.

I have to agreed with you for the need of aftermarket upgraded solenoids. I wouldnt be digging into this if my best friend's FD didnt have this intermittent problem. His secondary turbo would hesitate to kick in, sometime would not and the engine would sound completely different when the second turbo doesnt kick in at the boost is not building up quickly enough.

However this wasnt any easy task as sourcing some of the parts wasnt as easy. But the hardest part is actually figuring out where the vacuum hoses needed to be routed and such.

Hopefully I can get a full list of what exact parts needed to make one rack and the total cost for one rack with different options. Then I will be able to start a GB with different options and prices.

Again, thank you for those that supported me and asking questions whatnot. It kept pushing me into finish this project. I will be continuing to test drive the FD to see if there will be any potential problems.

As of now, 0 problems but this damn car will get me into trouble since the transition of the turbos are soo darn smooth it is such a blast to drive!!!!

Keep the list growing!

Exactly, I plan to run my BNR's at around 20 PSI on E85. It will be very nice to have a reliable solenoid setup.

Thanks, I would think so since many guys out there running BNRs and their solenoids would crap out easily.

It is still to be determined. As of now, this is an "interests" list. I havent figure out the cost yet. However I still need to figure out where I can source so less expensive but quality fittings and pass down the savings to you guys.

***UPDATES***

Due to the fact that a separate plug and play harness is TOO expensive to produce and will cost ~ $50 for 4 weatherpacks + 8 pin quick disconnect and personally I rather not go that route. However, if there is enough interest I will make it as an option BUT wire crimping/soldering IS required.

Please give me your feedback as I am trying to find out the best way for everyone. Ease of installation + cost is my #1 priority.

Please give me your feedback and I will add a poll to see if this will be a good option.

I do not need a Pnp harness. Just maybe some instruction on what wires go where as well as the hoses.

Ok. I will wait till more people chime in and we'll determine which is best way to go. Personally I believe blade connectors with bullet connectors would be the best and most economical way to go. Easy to deal with and cost ALOT less.

I agree with not needing a pnp harness, If it were like $20-30 yes. But if the cost for them is $50-$70, I'd rather just splice it in.

Good, because I would hate to make a product that will cost an arm and a leg lol.

Again, please vote people. However I believe the regular blade/bullet connectors will be a much better choice.

*** UPDATES ***

So, my friend finally took his FD (the one I put the solenoid rack) out for a ride and he came back saying "Wow, the car spool so much quicker and it rides much better when I first got it!" With a big smile on his face.

Another thing is, I dont think it needs a "bracket" to hold it in place. Because all the vacuum hoses acted as a bungee cord wrapped around the ABS unit and is holding the solenoid rack pretty stable I would say.

And without the rack, we can cut down about $10 less for the bracket itself. What ya'll think?

Talking

Right now I have a bracket and you need to drill 2 small holes at the side behind abs unit and it would be secured pretty good. However I hope everyone has a small dress to be able to do that.

However after today's math, I believe I can say that the Solenoid Rack will cost $525 + flat rate from USPS (Depending on the complete package size) within US 48 states.

Please refrain your comment on the prices as this is the best I can do as JUST the solenoids cost close to 250 not including all wires, heat shrink and labor to put the kit together. Please do a research before complaining on the prices as EVERYTHING price wise has gone up since 5 years ago. Therefore do NOT compare the prices from before to now.

Again, here is the list of parts that will be included in each kit:

Item Quantity

Solenoid Valve 4

Manifold 2

Connector 1/8 Barb x 10-32 6

10-32 plug with seal 2

Fitting 32-001 1

Adjust elbow 1/8 X 10-32 MALE 1

Viton check valves 3

Y split plastic barb 1/8" 3

vacuum caps 4

bolt and nuts 2 complete 7"long bolts and mating nuts

Mounting Bracket 1
Wires 4' - 16 gauge black wires

Blade Connectors 6

Bullet Connectors - Male 2

Bullet Connectors - Female 2

Heat Shrink 2'

Butt connector 2

Installation Guide in PDF form

Vacuum diagram for correct routing of hoses

For this GB to work, I would require a non-refundable of $250 up front payment.(Why such a high non-refundable? Because once the order is sent through, there's no refund on my part and these solenoids are freakn expensive) If pay by paypal, please USE THIS CALCULATOR to figure out how much is the payment w/o shipping cost for now. As shipping is to be determined.

Here I will restart the "committed list" for those that are serious, please transfer yourself over from the interested list:
