Custom luggages for the FD

Ok,i had this idea spinning in my mind for a long time now.Wouldn't be great if we could have two "fd trunk shaped luggages" for the weekend trips?I did a search here in Greece but noone is willing to make these especialy for 1 or 2 cars. So, i thought to share my idea, and maybe someone in the states can do that in a form of a group buy?Anyway its just and idea,i have some pictures to emphasize what i mean(sorry for the crappy cell pics)...

PS.

I have found a place which sells all the hardware, its:

That's a good idea, I've thought the same thing before. The McLaren F1 came with a custom set of luggage that fit into the small storage bins on either side of the car.

Only thing is something like that would likely be WAY expensive. Not sure how many FD guys would be wanting it, and custom made stuff like that ain't cheap.

agreed, the thing with FD's when people take them on road trips the trunk usually contains, (Oil,2 stroke, coolent, jumper cables) and any thing that would help keep the car alive. lol its a great idea but as said its probably too expensive and would not be really popular.

Maybe one half is a custom shaped tool bag for FD life support, the other half is for your wife/GF's stuff, and then two custom kidney-shaped duffels for the bins for your stuff—or you can just FedEx your **** to the hotel.

Expensive is something relative. Some people pay 1k for a titanium cat-back,others 2-3k for a bodykit and so on.I mean,if we don't get a ballpark price we cannot define for sure if its an ultra-mega-expensive or a good price. For me if i could track the parts here in Greece,i would go with it without second thought.Anyway, checkout this link the prices seem normal to me:

PS. Dale, the McLaren was my inspiration too!
