custom build exaust questions and header wrap

hi ,
i am installing a kit from a-spec that came with stainless steel manifold and downpipe.
i will need to fabricate my own the mid section that the cat sits . my question is :

1)should i use any gaskets between the flanges or not?

please note that all the pieses will be stainless steel and i will cut flanges and weld these to the pipes.

2) do anyone have experiance with DEI titanium header wrap?
i am thinking to use it for downpipe and manifold wraping.
other othion is the thermotec wrap that needs a silicon paint-protective on it.

thanks,
i apreciate any help!

I just wrapped my manifold and downpipe with the dei titanium wrap and I had it on my stock turbos downpipe, it works good
