Just installed a Cusco aluminum strut bar I bought used off the forum on my '93 touring model.
Thanks to the forum, this thing is great! I can't believe how much better it feels! Steering is firmer and that annoying hood squeak is gone! Worth the $120!!

 

yeah, a strut bar is one of the better low cost upgrades for the handling side of things... makes you wonder why all RX7's didn't come with a strut bar.

 

R1s and R2s did come with a front strut bar...

 

True, but then again R1/R2's don't exactly count as ALL RX-7's do they? BTW, anyone know why the R1/R2 strut bars are so damn expensive? They aren't any better than the Cusco are they? I assume it's just typical Mazda pricing.

 

Why is it a strut bar ? the 3 rd gens I have seen have upper and lower A armes and shock absorbers.Why not a shock tower brace?

 

WOW Duboisr, he is talking about a strut tower bar I believe..

Also the Mazda one isnt that expensive if you buy it used..
