Cruise Control Actuator How to test?

Cruise isn't working at all. I read the Electrical Manual and did the tests on each of the buttons. They all checked out ok including the brake and clutch switches. So now I'm thinking it might be under the hood at the actuator. I don't see anything in the manual about testing the actuator. Has anyone worked on this piece?

thanks

Have you checked your clutch switch (inhibitor switch on an auto) or brake switch? If they are not working they will prevent the cruise control from activating. As far as testing the actuator, you can try hooking up 12v to I think the red and black wire or light green and red wire on the cruise unit. It should activate the actuator. I'm not positive on this though.

I think there is also a way to test the cruise control unit at the diagnosis box.

The "cruise module" -- is that the unit next to the dead pedal?
Is there a way to test it by itself?

Thanks

Yes. IIRC, it's white w/maybe a 10 pin connector.
