crazy buggering boost issue

hey. been reading FAQ's all afternoon, and now im venturing to post.

have a couple FC turbo 2's, just picked up a 93 R1.

i cant boost past .4 bar without it cutting out fuel on me. it seems that it dosnt want to switch over to the secondary turbine either.

checked for cracks on the inlet hoses, going to check the plastic "non-enfini" elbow.

solonoids look to be in order, turbines do not smoke, car drives and idles fine (unless i get into more than .4 bar of boost)

any ideas?

was pondering to convert to parallel to try to solve the problem. (not ideal, but perhaps a solution)

reset the ecu.
remove the negative terminal from the battery and hold the brake for 20 seconds.

put the terminal back on and start it up... maybe this will fix it cause it sounds like it is in limp mode. if it doesn't fix it... check the lower actuator hoses for the 'pills' - do a search for 'boost pills' if you aren't sure what i'm talking about.
