Crazy Boost Problem.....
Crazy Boost Problem.....
When I am flooring it in first gear, and then shift at redline into second, I stop getting boost. Or if I am in second and I floor it and shift into third gear at redline, I also dont get boost. Same thing for every gear. What is the problem? Any help guys?? THanks alot.

Only thing I can think of right now is that your blow of valve isn't working and the backpressure from your sudden closing of your butterflies [throtle body butterflies] is killing the rotation of your turbo fins. That would be the first thing I would cheack.

IT MAY BE A COUPLE OF THINGS .... BUT WHAT I THINK IS THAT ITS A FAULTY GAUGE OR A SENSOR.... MAINLY BECUASE OF YOU NOT SAYING THAT YOU GET A HESITATION OR A DIVE IN POWER WHEN YOU SHIFT... IF YOU DO HAVE THAT ,..... IT MAY BE A TURBO OR ENGINE PROBLEM.... I DONT KNOW IF I HELPED

Another thing that could be wrong It could be a sticking wastegate?? I never heard of this before but It came to my mind and I though I would say it.
Hey guys thank you for the replies. There is a definite dive in power. It is just not getting boost when I shift. When I shift slowly into the next gear than I usually get boost, or when I down shift I get boost. Any other advice??? Thanks everyone

Sounds like the blowoff valve isn't working.
This is what happening. When you rev the car up to full boost and then shift you close the intake butter fly for a brief second.. Ok now when this happens all the boost hits this wall [the closed butterfly] and then fills up the piping as full as it can untill its allthe way back to the turbo well, when the turbo can't push any more air it has to stop and then the air just goes backwards and actuly reverses some times. Well, when you open the throttle back up your engine has to stop the reversed turbo and then start spinning it the right way again.. Then as it picks up speed it will eventualy get boost again. So, What I would do is cheack and see if there is something in the blow off valve and if not I would still clean it or buy an aftermarket one.
