cracked em?
just bought a non running 93 fd
got it running, sounds like a tractor and the engine compartment is full of fumes,
havent found the source of the leak yet but is a crack in the manifold the probable cause?
cheers

def leaking, think oil metering pump has a fault on it so dosent run very well either,
basicly what has happened is
car has been imported from japan so has been sat on a boat for 3months
then it has been sat in a yard for 4 months
a bloke buys is not really knowing much about them and thinks the rotors gone on it so starts to take it apart. He describes the fault as no power, and back fires when rev'ed which to me sounds like its in a safe mode due to something such as low oil metering pump pressure
i buy if off the bloke half stripped
put it back together and it sounds like the manifold isnt even connected, (ive checked it is)
heard a while ago manifolds are prone to cracking will strip down again this weekend.
car is standard by the way
