couple of questions about my FD....

1: a hesitation between about 2700rpm-3300rpm....regardless of gear. the car bucks, and hops, and it's annoying. ive noticed it's worse when the car is fully hot, when cold it does better. Also, it may be my imagination, but it seems to do it worse when the gas is under 1/2 tank. Doesnt do this when accelerating, just at cruising speeds. any ideas?

2: greddy profec b spec ii....i have duty cycle at 70, and the set at 70, start boost at 9, it limits at 110% then kicks it down 10%.....im getting 9.1 lbs of boost MAX, but it seems to be going through the power band better and not falling off at high rpms.....do these settings seem to high?

thanks.

Sounds like you have the 3000 rpm hesitation. I fixed mine simply by cleaning up the big grounding strap and it's mounting under the car and remounting it again after cleaning up that terminal.

wtgator....that's very close to other's settings on this forum..

however mine will not boost anywhere near 9 lbs like that.

i boost 7-7.5 with the controller off......i just want it to get back up to 10.

I just followed mine from the negative battery terminal. It's the biggest wire off of there, and it bolts on the driver's side of the block a bit forward of the starter.. sorry, no camera.

Yeah with the controller off it should be around 7. The way I adjusted my controller was to start at the stock settings (in the manual) and then adjusted the settings until I got a good boost pattern. Make sure you adjust the gain also(if you havent). But if you have the set at 70% and only getting 9.1 then something else could be wrong.

yea, i have the duty cycle and gain set at 70%, the max boost did increase with the duty cycle as i turned it up, but it continued to fall off after 4-5k rpms, so i gradually turned the gain up.......it's more responsive now.......but from seeing other people's settings, i think mine are way too high to for what im getting......i wonder what could be wrong???

also, im pretty sure it wouldnt hurt anything to solder a nice size guaged wire from the neg battery terminal, and ground it somewhere else in the engine bay would it?

No it wouldn't hurt. But before you add stuff, I would at least check the terminals on your existing one. Better to fix what's broke than add stuff.

im gonna do some grounding.....

but i was just doing my nightly 6 hours of reading, and came across TPS adjustment....

i am having weird idle, back firing, hesitations.....so im thinking the tps NEEDS to be adjusted....would the tps have an affect on my boost pattern also?

anyone have a pic of the tps? (manual is in the car)
