anyone know what the cost of a brand new engine? non-rebuilt parts

 

I think there were a very few left a couple months ago. Ray at Mallow Mazda was selling them for about 4.5-5k.

 

It costs $7,030 at Mazdatrix. They're pricey but they know what they're doing.

 

That sounds like parts and labor.

 

If you were to buy the parts new and assemble it for free, the engine itself (no manifolds, solenoids, turbos) would be in the neighborhood of $6000. Add all the other stuff, and I am sure the price would more than double.

I bought one from Ray @Malloy in May. Price was $4000 w/o a core. Ray gave me $600 for my core, so net was $3,400.
