Correct oil level?

Ok guys I got a few questions. 94 r2

1. When I do an oil change I put 4 and 3/4 of oil everytime. I heard some people say this is overfilling it. Well everytime I check it its full to the line perfect.

2. Also Iam wondering why Iam not seeing oil consumption in my car like other peoples FD's. I have a daily driver so I mainly save my car for the weekends or going to special places. I have never EVER had to add oil even when I didnt have a daily driver. Ive had this car for a total of alomst 2 years. I have had no problems just some electrical ones that are getting fixed. I do check my oil often and I drive an average of 8k miles a year in it. I really doubt its my OMP. I dont have proof but I think I would have had problems a long time ago if it was the OMP since I dont pre-mix.

Thank you,
Jonas

Does your oil stink excessively of gasoline when you change it? One of the theories on why the level doesn't decrease (or even increases in some cases) is that the oil becomes diluted by fuel, which is fairly normal, but in some cases so much so that it increases the level.

*EDIT* - I forogt to address your other question, the oil change amount should be 3.7 qts for base and tourings and 3.9 for R1's so it does seem that your overfilling it. This might help explain why you never have t fill it...

No I check it everytime I change it and it smells like oil. Why would this occur and why would it be normal?

There is a lot of good info here - http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/oil.html#GAS That link will take you direct to the gas dilution section, but scroll around on that page after you've read that part and check out the rest.

I've recently developed a gas dilution problem. It seems like ever since I stopped using my car for a daily driver my oil has slowly become more and more diluted. Anyone have an idea why? So far I've come up with leaky injectors and side seal blow-by.
