The OEM radiator does not use cathodic protection. Hence, it does not need to be grounded.
The exhaust and such have several grounds so you wont burn something up if anyone of them gets disconnected. The exhaust system is not a good conductor for starter motor type currents because of the nonmetallic gaskets et al.
