Cooling Fan control without relays????

Is there a way to wire the cooling fans so that they work without using the stock relays?? Essentially deleting the system completely...mine shorted out and melted and I want to get the car home just dont wanna have to pull over and wait for it to cool down(i doubt it since i rearely see temps climb unless i go over 80 or under boost with the fans off - but still)
TIA,

Are you looking for a permanent solution, or a ghetto-rig so you can drive the car home tonight?

For a permanent fix, you can buy replacement relays, or use high-power transistors if you want to get really trick.

How did the stock relays melt? What caused them to short out?

If all you need to do is get the car home, I wouldn't bother rigging anything. Given the outside temps, I'd be more worried about the thermostat sticking open and running too cool
Unless you expect to be stuck in grid-lock for a while...

I had my car out earlier and normal driving it was stuck at about 175 - 180, basically the thermostat just starting to open. Even threw in some boosting and high rpms.

Good luck
