Coolant Temperature Fluctuation.
Coolant Temperature Fluctuation.
Finally got the car running, and I have no idea how!! but the question I have now:
When I am sitting at idle, and I rev it up after it reaches op temp, about 15-30 seconds after I rev it, aftermarket guage goes from 95c to about 12oc very fast and then drops back down just as fast, and even the stock guage jumps up and down a little. thermostat is new, and I hotwired the fans to run just in case. after it goes up it comes back to settle at around 105c and that doesnt make me very comfortable.

Thanks, that is what I was hoping, I just started it up earlier and added some more coolant, I suspect this will be a routine for a while. It seemed to hold lower temps this time... is there a level sensor in the overflow jug? it was buzzing at me to fill the coolant...
It won't be "routine for a while" if you burp the coolant system; again, look up "burping coolant system" in the search function.
There is a coolant level sensor in the filler neck on front of the engine.
