Question Coolant Seal Fix

I did the CRC block weld fix, but how can I tell if it worked. The reason I ask is because I didn't have most of the symptoms others had. ie. white smoke, coolant leaking from overflow reservior. The only thing I had was cold and hot starting along with the water rushing sound from inside the passenger compartment. The car starts fine now in the mornings and when hot, but its been doing that since I went to straight water for the block weld fix. I'm I going to have to flush out the CRC and add antifreeze to see if I get the sweet smell again. Also, I am still getting the water rushing but only when cold.

you still have air in the system if your hearing the water rushing sound in the heater core, which you shouldn't hear if the heat isn't on.
