Coolant Reservoir/Tank Questions

Coolant Reservoir/Tank Questions
I just removed the tank to clean as it was really dirty. Wondered though, there is one plastic pipe that connects to the AST, there is another hole which seems to be the overflow (nothing attached to it) is this right? TIA mates.
