Coolant Needle Raises Towards Hot
You have a 3.8L V6 in your MX6? I didn't know that was an option / popular swap

I wouldn't have posted in this thread if I thought I'd be wasting anyone's time.
Look, I'm not trying to bust anyone's *****. I'm just trying to paint a clear picture of what y'all are dealing with so nobody wastes their time. I'm also handing out basic lessons on how to get results on ANY forum
I think it is extremely important to post as much info as you can about a problem if you're going to start a thread asking for a solution. Also, and this is really dipping into my personal opinion, I don't think asking for more suggestions/solutions is considerate of peoples time if you haven't gone and checked the most basic suggestions (i.e., making sure the fans work). What good is it for me to spend 20 minutes pouring through the FSM for obscure possible problems and list them out here only to find that when you finally did go and start checking for problems it turned out to be a blown fuse?
Just my 2¢s

The post above mine (yours actually) mentions a ford V6 swap, which IMO, is pretty much the only reason to NOT buy a PFC or something like it. Not only can you control your fans etc...keeping the coolant problem in check... but I thought I'd also mention how much better the cars runs.
Sorry if I confused ya.

It doesnt matter what engine it is. If the fans are not running, it will overheat............ period!!!
Checking the fans isnt that difficult. On most FD's, you can see some parts of the fans to see if they are moving.

Not to go too far off topic here then but.. (mainly so someone searching can find the info)
I pushed the AC button last night, with the blower fan set to 1. (I have my AC pump+lines+heat exchanger under the dash+condenser+ front radiator all removed, only the wiring remains) and behold, the engine fans come on at 100% full speed setting!
Essentially this means that anyone with their AC removed can just push the AC button and get 100% engine fan speed to come on, if they are stuck in hot traffic or begin to see overheating.
I dont have a PFC, so I dont have control of the fans via PFC. But now I realize I DO have direct control of turning the fans on/off with the push of a button whenever I want. No extra wiring required, no extra work needed, as long as you have your AC deleted

However I think the AC on button only gives you low fan speed.
The stock fans are no joke so even low is pretty good.
